UFC 118: BJ Penn vows to get his belt back

Will he able to claim it?
Former champion BJ Penn is anxious to get in the Octagon in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 118 for the opportunity to get the title he once lost to newly crowned lightweight king Frankie Edgar.
“I hope he’s ready for me because I just have one goal in mind: getting my belt back,” Penn said in UFC.com.
Penn from Hawaii lost the lightweight title to Edgar on points in UFC 112 four months ago in Abu Dhabi.
Their rematch is set to happen at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on August 28 (29 in Manila).
“I’m not afraid to exchange with him in anyway, I don’t think he wants to exchange with me,” said Penn, billed as “The Prodigy”. “He’s gonna jazz up what he did last time, you know a little quicker, a little better, maybe throw a kick.”
“I’m all about finishing my guy and I can’t wait to finish him,” added the 5-foot-9 mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter.
As for Edgar, he is confident that he will win, although he revealed that he is somehow pressured in having another win.
“Definitely a little more pressured, I think. ‘Cause I gotta fight a rematch against the guy I fought just four months ago,” said the 5-foot-6 lightweight champ.
According to UFC commentator Joe Rogan, the rematch is critical for both fighters because it could define their MMA careers.
He added that Edgar will also have to prove that he’s no one-hit wonder.
“For Frankie Edgar, it’s important that he proves the first fight was not a fluke… that he really does belong with the elite in the division,” said Rogan.
