Manny Pacquiao starts his training camp
Despite of the cold weather, Manny Pacquiao is unstoppable from starting his training camp for his May 2 mega-fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Pacquiao was already up and about 6 a.m. for a three-mile morning jog from his Hancock Park mansion to Pan Pacific Park, and threw shadow boxing and ab workouts after.
After his nap, Pacquiao had two hours and strength and conditioning training at the Wild Card Gym with Justine Fortune, then had dinner and signed a few autographs.
The Wild Card Gym, and Fortune’s gym, have been put on a strict lockdown.
In a separate report, the Boxing Congressman, who has been working on a tax issue with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), welcomed a bill proposal from Senator Koko Pangilinan. The bill is to exempt the boxing from paying taxes from the bout, which is estimated to pay him as much as $120 million.
"I’m still paying taxes here, so it doesn’t matter," said Pacquiao. "Salamat sa suporta ng mga kaibigan nating mga senador."
