Watch Meteor Shower and Shooting Stars Online

As summer ends, children are all getting ready to return to school, however for the next several days the sky will put on  a show of brilliant group of shooting stars as this year’s Perseid meteor shower will peak on August 12th and August 13th.

The sky will surely be one of nature’s most dazzling performances and experts at NASA have provided resources to help those who want to view the display and that they don’t miss their chance.

This day,  between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. ET, NASA astronomer Bill Cooke will host a live question and answer session via chat. Bill will also be live via chat from the hours of 11:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m., ET to answer questions as stargazers wait and watch the night skies.

NASA has created a live video and audio feed on USTREAM helping those who can’t enjoy the beautiful shooting stars show first hand to watch via online.

The video may appear dark, it is not permanent. The camera is light activated and as the sunsets the camera will focus on the skies. According to NASA,  with the live stream, even if you can’t see pictures during the daylight hours, you will be able to hear the sound of meteors, shooting stars, as they fall through the skies.
