Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep: to be released on September 7, 2010 in North America

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep is set to be released on September 7, 2010 in North America and on September 10, 2010 in Europe.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep is an action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix. This is the new game installment from Kingdom Hearts series that started in Playstation2 gaming platform, and the very first attempt to port this popular game to Playstation portable (PSP). The game is designed by the popular game developers from the gaming scene. Most notable among them is Tetsuya Nomura, who is known from his work in Final Fantasy series.

Kingdom Hearts series is known for its unique story and mix of characters combining the popular characters from Disney franchise (mickey, donald, goofy, mulan, hercules, etc.) and final fantasy series. With an added mix of fast paced action game play and character combination attacks, this game is something that will keep you into the edge of your seat and will definitely guarantee a long hours of gameplay. The game takes place 10 years prior from the original kingdom Hearts game. Like the other games in the series, the player progresses through various worlds. Some of the locations included are Dwarf Woodlands from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", Enchanted Dominion from "Sleeping Beauty", Castle of Dreams from "Cinderella", Olympus Coliseum from "Hercules", Deep Space from "Lilo & Stitch", Neverland from "Peter Pan" and Mysterious Tower from "Fantasia".

As for the featured characters, the player may take the role of any of the three main characters (Terra, Aqua, and Ventus). Other characters from the previous games return, such as Sora, Riku, and Kairi, though they are younger than their original incarnations and given less prominent roles. Another popular character, Zack Fair, from the "Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII" is also featured in this game.

As of now, the game is already released in Japan last January 9, 2010. The game sold 500,000 copies during its first 2 days of release. As of February 14, 2010 the game has sold a total of 800,551 copies at Japan only. The game was well receieved by fans and game critics. IGN featured it as nominated of 2010′s "Best of E3 Award" in the category Best PSP Games.
