The show started with greetings from fellow hosts, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro and Kuya Kim. As the first judge was introduced Jhong Hillario, Vice was so happy to see Jhong dressed in a traditional attire Barong Tagalog, plus a bouquet of flowers which Jhong gave to the Birthday celebrant.
After the dance numbers from the three finalists, Vice Ganda, clad in a very elegant victorian suit, she shared how she would want to celebrate her birthday. Vice Ganda said she was contemplating what to do for her special day, but instead of doing a Beyonce number to entertain everybody, she decided to take a different route and instead took the opportunity to sincerely thank his mother. He calls her Mama Rosario, and he thanked her for the sacrifices she has to endure to provide him and his siblings a good future since his father already passed away.
Unselfishly, Vice Ganda and his siblings did not took it against their mother of her decision to leave them. He thanked her and expressed in heartwarming words how he is so thankful to have a mother like Mama Rosario. In an emotional state, he ended his lines by saying I love you to his mom.
As if on cue, the pianist started his magical intro of Ikaw lang ang Mamahalin, originally sung by Ms. Joey Albert. Together with the pianist, was a choir humming the intro. Vice Ganda sang his part and the people in the studio were crying since the lyrics of the song is so fitted for the chosen mood.
Vice Ganda was comforted by his fellow hosts who became emotional as well, and expressed their love too with their moms. Then it was a surprise for a Vice Ganda to find out that his mom is on the phone to greet him. That’s when the comedian broke down. His mother sounded like she was crying when she talked to her son. She said that she did not expected this, that it was supposed to be her singing for him not the other way around. She also told Vice Ganda that she was so very proud of him and his accomplishments. She even asked forgiveness for the hurt that she had inflicted on him and to his siblings, stressing that leaving them to work abroad was the only way she knew to change their lives.
Vice Ganda returning to his usual comedian self cut off his mom by saying: " Ma, TV patrol na, Ma SNN na," he jokingly said, implying that it’s taking too much air time. They both bid farewell and exchanged I love Yous to each other.
The group gave Vice Ganda a group hug, expressing their love and support to the comedian.
