Venus Williams sports a lacy dress during French Open debut
During her first-round match against Patty Schnyder the seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams shocked the crowd at Roland Garros on Sunday by sporting ing a lacy, black dress with bright red trimmings on the bodice .
lookThe tricky part of the dress was the black overlay material made the dress ; as if it was see through, even though it was really not.
Despite the outrageous outfit Venus won with ease, 6-3, 6-3. She wore a similar can-can style outfit earlier this year in Miami.
According to Venus, the look was all about "illusion," but didn’t mention whether she’d wear it again during the tournament.
Who knows? she might have different styles of lacy dress in her closet.
