When it comes to our Boxing Champ, Manny Pacquiao, money is not an issue to his fans. As the Pacquiao-Clottey fight approaches, the team Pacquiao couldn’t help themselves but go to General Santos just to visit the stores of the pound per pound champ. General Santos City which is located in South Cotabato, became famous as Pacquiao’s hometown more than its booming tuna fishing industry. Pacquiao’s businesses include coffee house franchises and boutiques by his wife, Jinkee Pacquiao.
Team Pacquiao stores are located in both Robinson’s Place Mall and at JMP bldg. along Osmeña street in GenSan. Novelty items of team pacquiao are slippers, with Pacman’s printed face on it, clothes with his signature, shoes, and jackets marked with a special seal. The store manager said that fans of the famous boxer often flock to the shop every time Pacquiao has a scheduled fight, most of them are foreigners. Victorinox wristwatches which is also being sold in team Pacquiao’s stores, were reportedly sold out. The wristwatches cost Php 30,000 as the store’s most expensive item.
Meanwhile the store managers are expecting a big number of customers in the days leading to Pacquiao-Clottey match.
