Rendell says No to Obama's guesting on "The View"
Known as outspoken governor of Pennsylvania, he expressed his distaste over Obama’s guesting on "The View."
The news media are going bananas about it, the Democratic official is not at all happy about it.
The very first appearance to a daytime TV show by a sitting president is receceiving a huge thumbs-down from Ed Rendell. The governor tinks that a president should be reachable but should also have limitations.
“I think the president should be accessible … but I think there’s got to be a little bit of dignity to the presidency,” Rendell said in an interview at "Morning Joe".
“I wouldn’t put him on, on "Jerry Springer" either,” he said.
"Morning Joe" co-host Mika Brzezinski cried foul on that charge.
“Oh Ed!” she wailed. “This is different.”
Maybe a "little bit," Rendell offered, but he didn’t budge. “I think the president of the United States has to go on serious shows,” he said.
“And and I’m not sure he has to go on "The View" to get, to be open to questions.”
