Missile defense failed

Officials will investigate the cause of interception when a missile missed its target during the U.S. missile defense test that failed last Sunday. It was reported that the cause was radar problems.
According to the Defense Department, a target missile was launched from an Army test site at Kwajelein Atoll in the Marshall Islands at 7:40 p.m. After 6 minutes, a second missile was launched to find the first one to destroy it, this time from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. The department’s Missile Defense Agency said that the 2 miles flew successfully, but failed to meet because of a conflict in the sea-based-X-band radar. Further inspection will happen in the next few days.
