CPA board exams topnotcher, Yolanda Survivor

His dreams were big…

He is one of the survivors in Tacloban when Supertyphoon “Yolanda” whipped the province. His experence boosted  his resolve to be able to answer the licensure exams for certified public accountants (CPA).

Rommel Rhino Edusma, 25, not only passed the tests but  aced it.

Edusma lead  the 2014 CPA Licensure Exams with a rating of 94.57 percent, the first topnotcher from the widely unheard of 19-year-old Asian Development Foundation College (ADFC) here.

According to Edward Chua, ADFC president, the honor that Edusma gave the school deserves a celebration.

He added that they were very happy since they have never produced a topnotcher before but recalled that they also produced a 14th placer earlier.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said that 5,540 took the exams and  1,107 examinees passed.

Meanwhile next to Edusma  was Joanna Marie Lim Barrozo of San Beda College of Alabang (St. Benedict College). In third place was Ray Hamodi Balagbis Ngalot from the University of San Carlos with a grade of 92.43 percent. Four of the top 10 placers were graduates of San Beda College of Alabang and San Beda College.
