Children discover man's body stuffed inside a balikbayan box
A man’s body inside a balikbayan box was discovered in a pile of garbage in Caloocan City, before dawn Friday.
According to police, the man’s body was found by a group of garbage scavengers along an auto supply shop in Barangay Bagong Silang, around 3 a.m..
Crime scene investigators said the man could have been a victim of execution, killed in another location and then thrown in Barangay Bagong Silang.
Strangulation marks in around his neck was discovered by the investigators, and was stabbed with an ice pick in his back.
The man’s almost naked body was full of tattoos.
Police said they are still in the process of identifying the victim.
