11 Killed in Baguio, tourist bus accident

 

baguio accidentIt was unfortunate for the 11 passengers that were killed when their tourist bus smashed into a tree in Pugo, La Union Saturday(March 6) afternoon.

25 were reported injured from the accident. The fatalities were 11 , but 8 were killed right away, one of the victim was even decapitated in the fatal accident that happened around 5:30 p.m.

The three others died while being treated at the Baguio General Hospital. It’s hard for the authorities to confirm the identities of the victims since some of them did not have any identification cards.

The passengers were said to be from Laguna, and they had just finished visiting the churches in Baguio City before the accident. Initial investigation shows that the bus must have lost its brakes. The driver was also injured, and is also being treated.
