Vilma Santos would rather make movies than run in 2016
Award winning turned politician Vilma Santos-Recto revealed that she has no plans to run for higher office in 2016. She added that she might retire from public service, this was told by Senator Ralph Recto to the reporters Monday.
“Vilma has no plans to run in 2016, as far as I know,” Recto said when asked by reporters.
“I think she was to make new films … she has also served for a long time in our province of Batangas. There is a possibility she would retire on 2016,” he said.
Earlier, Vice President Jejomar Binay disclosed that he is considering the possibility that Santos could be his running mate when he goes for the presidency in 2016 election, but added that it’s still early to finalize anything.
Santos served as Mayor of Lipa City from 1998 to 2007, and currently the governor of Batangas since then.
