Topacio liking Hitler gets criticized
Lawyer Argee Guevarra, known as the critic of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on Tuesday reacted to Arroyo’s lawyer, Ferdinand Topacio, for commenting that Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler was a good leader.
Guevarra said he respects Topacio’s right to express his "creepy political beliefs," however he objected to the lawyer’s statement that there is no proof that the extermination of Jews was official state policy of Germany during Hitler’s time.
“I would like to believe that Atty. Ferdie Topacio’s idolatry of Adolf Hitler and his pro-Nazi sentiments are motivated only by his zealous desire to defend even the indefensible, such as his client, former President Gloria Macapagal Arrovo, este, Arroyo," he said in a statement.
Topacio encountered criticisms after a Bandila story revealed a Hitler painting in the lawyer’s office.
The Nazi leader ruled Germany from 1934 to 1945. Under his rule, Germany went to war against the US-led Allied Forces in World War II.
