Suspect in Pinay's slay in Singapore, finally arrested

On March 17, an Indian national was arrested for the murder of  a 30-year-old Filipino woman, Roselyn Reyes Pascua.

The police did not give any information regarding the suspect’s identity, only his age which is 34 years old.  If convicted, he will face death penalty.  The victim  was found in her room at Bencoolen Street before dawn last March 15 with stab wounds.

Initially, the police identified five suspects, three  Filipino women and two Thai men.

The police put a lot of work round the clock for the last three days in tracking down the suspect.  According to Senior Assistant Commissioner Ng Boon Gay, director of the Criminal Investigation Department: "Murder is a serious crime. We will spare no efforts to bring the perpetrator to justice. My officers have worked round the clock and left no stone unturned in their hunt for the suspect."
