Shuttle Falls from Skyway Near Paranaque

 

Report has it that a shuttle bus of the operator of the Skyway loss its control and falls off from the elevated highway on Sunday then was hit by a sports utility vehicle driving  on the same lane in Paranaque City, police said.

Inquirer reported that Chief Superintendent Jose Erwin Villacorte, director of the Southern Police District, texted  that the driver of the shuttle bus Allan Nopal sustained injuries because od the fall. He was rushed  to the Paranaque Doctors’ Hospital for treatment.

The mishap occurred  at 5:15 a.m. on Sunday on  Skyway just in front of the Amaia Condo in Barangay (village) Sun Valley in Paranaque City after the driver of the bus had dropped off passengers.

The shuttle bus drive employees to their assigned work areas.

According to Villacorte, initial investigation revealed that the bus was cruising  the southbound lane of the Skyway when a Toyota Fortuner crashed into it which made the driver lose control of the shuttle, then fell from the rising highway.

It dropped  on the service road, fortunately causing no additional accidents below the Skyway.

Meanwhile, police said that  the driver of the Toyota Fortunerwas not hurt following the accident.
