Noynoy to quit smoking if he wins presidency in May elections
Friday, Presidential candidate Senator Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III said that he plans to quit smoking once he wins the presidency in the 2010 elections on May. He does not deny the fact that the pressure from the ongoing campaign still urges him to puff. Aquino still leads the surveys. He admits that the pressure that awaits him is greater once he wins the presidential race, but he thinks that to ease the pressure is simply doing the right thing. In September, the tobacco control group Framework Convention on Tobacco Control Alliance Philippines (FCAP) called on Aquino to quit smoking after he announced his presidential bid. When asked regarding marriage, he was quick to answer that he and girlfriend Valenzuela councilor Shalani Soledad, has no definite plans yet, so many things are still going on, it’s tough to make plans. He admits that he is envious of his friends who have settled down and children who are already in college. He thinks, that once he gets married, he’ll be at peace.
