No campaign contributors in my government, Gibo vowed
Gilberto Teodoro Jr. Administration presidential bet, has promised that he will not appoint in his government any of his campaign contributors.
He admits he has not screened the sources of the financial help being given to him by his party. According to Teodoro, they have a finance committee that handle the funds. The administration bet admitted that they have already spent P400 million in television ads before the start of campaign period.
Though he doesn’t inspect closely the sources of funds, he is firm to his finance committee never to accept money from suspicious sources, particularly those who are involved in illegal game, jueteng.
Meanwhile, Teodoro stands by his word that if ever elected, his presidency will never follow the current administration, saying that “he has a mind of his own." He also stressed that he will never turn his back on President Arroyo and on his party even if his affiliations could affect his running for presidency. He also insisted that once elected, he would continue some of Arroyo’s projects, particularly the long term infrastructure.
He believes in logical continuity and in long term infrastructure instead of outright reversals and constant changes. His platform also includes the improvement of health programs and education system in our country, which will be his priority.
