color coding in holy week

In observance for Holy Week, the number coding scheme will be lifted beginning  Tuesday next week to permit  motorists to travel without burden  to the provinces. This was announced by Francis Tolentino, Chairman of   Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.

The action  is part of the MMDA’s Oplan Metro Alalay Semana Santa that will  ensure the safety of thousands of people who are likely to leave Metro Manila starting this weekend, the report said.

Tolentino said they have already discussed with the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), Armed Forces of the Philippines and police.

Meanwhile, Tolentino also encouraged drivers to use the Mabuhay Lane to minimize traffic.
