Missing Kia Carnival of Emerson Lozano found burned in Bataan
The missing Kia Carnival van that was being sold by Emerson Lozano before he was murdered was found burning in Dinalupihan town, Bataan province before dawn Wednesday. Emerson Lozano is the son of former Marcos lawyer Oliver Lozano,
According to Senior Superintendent Arnold Gunnacao, Bataan provincial police director, the burning vehicle, which was carjacked on Jan. 13, was seen by residents of Barangay San Simon in Dinalupihan town around 2:40 a.m.
Gunnacao said crime scene investigators immediately processed the vehicle after fireman saturated the fire and later on, it was confirmed to be the missing vehicle that was being sold by Lozano.
The burned van’s engine number J3-7253625 and chassis number KNAMB761386234589 matched the missing vehicle being sold by Lozano.
The van, according to Atty. Lozano, is owned by his son’s employer.
Lozano’s burnt body was found in Porac, Pampanga, while his driver’s remains were discovered in La Paz, Tarlac.
Police believe that the killers of Lozano and his driver belong to the same group that abducted and killed car dealer Venson Evangelista.
