Manny Pacquiao, welcome home
On Monday, the boxing ring superstar, with wife Jinkee and his entourage finally arrived home.
They were on board with Philippine Airlines flight 103 from Los Angeles at around 5:45 am.
“Masayang-masaya ako at nakabalik na ako sa Pilipinas at makakapiling uli ang mga anak ko. Nagpapasalamat ako sa lahat ng sumuporta at nagdasal para sa akin sa last fight ko," the champ said.
Pacquiao was immediately welcomed by his children Jemeuel, Michael, and Princess hugging and kissing their parents, it was obvious how much they missed their mom and dad.
Well-wishers greeted the couple as they were being led to the welcome party. Sen. Manny Villar, ex-DENR Sec. Lito Atienza,and Deputy National Security Adviser Luis "Chavit" Singson were present at the NAIA Terminal 2.
His arrival now is free from controversies, compared from his two previous arrival from U.S. . He was asked about the much awaited fight of him and Mayweather, he said that he really wants to fight Mayweather as long as they will agree with terms. He also said that he considers the suggestion for him to retire even before the Mayweather fight, adding that he will still discuss it with family.
With the upcoming election, Pacman is now set to prepare for his campaign. He is running for congress in Sarangani province.
“Handa na ako, bago pa man ako lumaban kay Clottey, nakahanda na ako sa kampanya. Anyway, March 26 pa naman ang start ng campaign [for local candidates], may ilang araw pa ako para makapiling ang mga anak ko bago mangampanya," he said.
From the airport, his next stop was New World Hotel (formerly Renaissance Hotel) in Makati for breakfast and to have his rest because of the long list of activities lined up for the day.
After taking a breather, Pacquiao visited Atienza, his long time friend, then went to Quiapo Church to hear a thanksgiving mass.
His next route was Malacañang, where he paid a courtesy call on President Arroyo, and spend some quality moments with the first family.
