Man drops from Makati building
Past noon Friday, a man either fell or jumped from the 31st floor of an office building in Makati City police said.
Senior Superintendent Froilan Bonifacio, Makati police chief, named the victim only as Jun-jun Sy, between 30 and 35 years old.
Bonifacio said Sy’s face was damaged and his hand mutilated in the fall, which happened at 12:35 p.m. His body landed on the 8th-floor open podium of the 88 Corporate Building on Valero St. and was discovered by a tenant, Bonifacio said.
According to police, Sy may have committed suicide based on reports by some office workers who said they witnessed him jump from the 31st floor.
Police are already performing an investigation to find out if the fall was an accident or a suicide. Bonifacio said the authorities were also not yet ruling out "foul play."
