Israel not employing Filipino nurses

"Israel is not hiring Filipino nurses."

This was made clear by the Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz on Monday. She is warning Filipino nurses to  turn down“fictitious” job offers in Israel since it  is not hiring nurses.

Baldoz added  she had received reports that unscrupulous recruiters were still looking for nurses to work in a non-existent hospital in Israel.

“Israel is not hiring Filipino nurses. Filipinos are hired in Israel as home-based caregivers, and not as nurses,” she said in a statement.

She read a report from Labor Attaché to Israel Merriam A. Cuasay revealed that the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Tel Aviv care is still receiving reports that some recruiters were offering Filipino nurses work in a certain Jordan Valley Medical Center.

“This center is fictitious. No such hospital exists in Israel. Job openings in Israel are only for home-based caregivers, not nurses,” Cuasay said in her report.
