Donaire preparing to fight again
World bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire Jr. is getting ready to be on the ring now that his conflict with Top Rank promotions has ended.
Donaire’s last fight was against Mexican champion Fernando Montiel in February. Since thenm he has kept himself in shape despite being sidelined from professional boxing.
“I’m very eager to be back in the ring,” the Filipino Flash said in Boxingscene.com. “I don’t have a fight but I would still train.”
He said he sought to stay in shape so that when his dispute with Bob Arum’s Top Rank is over, he’d be ready to fight again.
“I trained to maintain my weight and [my wife] Rachel was always there to help me. I just tried to support her the way that she supported me,” Donaire said.
Doinare promises to do well as he did when he slugged it out woth Montiel in just 2 rounds to win the WBC and WBO bantamweight titles.
Donaire’s record consits of 26 wins and 1 loss. In his 26 victories, he won 18 fights by knockout.
