DOJ to indict Napoles couple for tax evasion

 The Department of Justice discovers a probable cause to charge businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles and her husband Jaime Napoles for tax evasion

before the Court of Tax Appeals.

 
Stated in an  18-page resolution dated March 16 given to ABS-CBN News, the DOJ panel found probable cause to indict Janet Napoles for the tax case filed against her by the Bureau of Internal Revenue amounting to P44.7 million and for Jaime Napoles an aggregate tax liability P16 million.
 
The case is linked  with number of properties and parcels of land and condo units and other investments the Napoles couple made from 2004 to 2012.
 
According to  BIR, the couple did not give correct and exact information in their ITR.
