Cops strict on security at SC
Security was reportedly tightened at the Supreme Court areas in Manila on Thursday, while the high court gets ready to discuss motions in connection with the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona.
According to Manila Police District (MPD), it expects groups to execute protest actions however promised to the public that it has enough personnel to observe peace and order.
MPD spokesman Chief Inspector Erwin Margarejo said they have "enough" personnel to deal with protest groups if ever the protests go out of hand.
At the same time, Margarejo requested to the groups to police their own ranks and to make sure their protest actions at the high court do not turn violent.
