Banco Filipino branches remained closed for 2nd day
As the second day arrives, depositors’ tempers started to show Wednesday as other branches of Banco Filipino (BF) Savings and Mortgage Bank stayed closed Wednesday.
Some depositors who gathered to the bank’s branches in Manila and Quezon City were disappointed upon knowing the branches were still closed, and security guards declined to talk to them.
Depositors were mad about the situation.
The automated teller machine (ATM) at the branch had a sign indicating it was “temporarily offline."
This made the depositors asked the President Benigno Aquino III to interfere and have the BSP and Banco Filipino officials sit down and talk, the report said.
The same scenario happened at the bank’s branch along Kamias Road in Quezon City.
