6 Coast Guard men raped a 20 year old girl
Around 10:30p.m. on March 2 "Maya" not her real name narrated her complaint on how she was raped by six members of the Philippine Coast Guard inside a PCG headquarters in Taguig.
Her house was near the base and a drinking spree was ongoing inside the headquarters. Raymundo, one of the six coast guards invited her to join them. She said they made her drink beer and got her drunk. Once drunk, the six guys took their turns in raping her.
She was pleading that she can’t take it anymore, but the guys took advantage of her situation being drunk and all. “Sabi ko ayoko na. Inom pa raw dahil ihahatid naman ako. Nanghina na ako, pero alam ko pa kasi nararamdaman ko pa ang hawak nila, nagtatawanan sila,” she said ( I don’t want anymore, but they said that i should drink more since they’ll take me home anyway, I feel so weak, but i know what’s happening, I can feel their hands on me, they were laughing).
"Maya" filed a complaint before the Philippine National Police and the PCG against Apprentice Seaman JP Raymundo, PO3 Havar Copoz, Apprentice Seaman Reo Omar and 3 others. PCG spokesman, Lt. Cmdr. Armand Balilo was deeply disappointed regarding the incident. He assured that he and the rest of the members will take this matter seriously.
