10-year-old girl Kidnapped in Surigao del Sur
While playing with her classmates, a ten-year-old girl was kidnapped near the gate of Adlay Community Elementary School in Barangay Adlay in Carrascal town Surigao del Sur Tuesday morning, police said.
According to reports, the victim was a Grade IV pupil, and resident of Purok 8, Barangay Adlay. Investigation shows that the student cut classes after her morning recess and went to play marbles.
The playmates narrated to the police that while they were playing with the abducted pupil, a dark van stopped near them and man stepped out and asked the victim’s name, and after saying her name, the suspects took hold of the child and covered her mouth when she attempted to cry for help and forcibly shoved her inside the vehicle that sped toward Tandag City in Surigao del Sur.
Police are still determining the motive of the abduction since no ransom has been demanded until now. So far the kidnappers have not been sending any communication.
The family and relatives of the victim have asked help from Surigao del Sur Provincial Government regarding the incident.
