Toyota may have software trouble- Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple

Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple proposed on Tuesday during his media interview that Toyota’s problems with a defective accelerator pedals may have to do with software.
His Prius sped up while in cruise control. "Since my foot never touches the pedal," Wozniak said in an interview the problem" cannot be a sticky accelerator pedal….There might be some bad software in there. According to Wozniak, his problem might also be related to the random acceleration cases that has forced Toyota to recall a massive 8 million vehicles worldwide. The Prius is a best selling hybrid car, but it is not one of the vehicles under recall.
Wozniak shared that months ago he was unsuccessfully trying to get the attention of Toyota and US authorities when his Prius acceleration started, he was thankful to the media attention this week, Toyota responded to his complain by offering to borrow his car for a week to observe what may have caused the acceleration. Wozniak said that the car was controlled by breaking and by a radar system that regulates the distance from cars by slowing it down.
Amid all the issues of recall and car problems, Wozniak said that he really loves his car. He stressed out that it is important to know what to do, because at first it is terrifying if you don’t have an idea what to do. Washington is still studying if they will slap a fine on Toyota, after the Japanese automaker was forced to recall millions of cars and trucks due to its faulty pedal. Toyota sales in the United States went down 8.7 percent in January.
