Tiger Woods to return at Masters

Tiger WoodsNearly five months after his admission about his string of affairs with women, Tiger Woods announced Tuesday he will return to competitive golf in April at the Masters. In his website, he posted his statement about his return to the sport he has conquered for so long at  famed Augusta National Golf Club at the year’s first major championship, which will start on April 8.

"After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I’m ready to start my season at Augusta, the Masters is where I won my first major and I view this tournament with great respect" Woods said on his website.

When he won the Australian Masters on November 15, he never played in a tournament ever since. It was not long after his Australian success, Woods was involved in a car crash near his home that roused a global scandal, causing him a public apology for adultery which lead him to  hold his golf career, while he struggled to fix his life.

A photograph of Woods and his wife Elin made it on a front page of New York Post, their first photo of them together after the chaotic event in their lives.

Woods will not be able to make his comeback in the upcoming the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Tavistock Cup two-day exhibition event. He already expressed his regrets for not attending.  Meanwhile, Woods thanked Augusta National members and staff for assisting him with his comeback choice.  "I have deep appreciation for everything that they do to create a wonderful event for the benefit of the game," Woods said.
