Solar Tsunami may hit earth

There is a great possibility that the earth could be struck  by a wave of violent space weather as early as Tuesday following a huge explosion of the sun, scientists have warned.

Astronomers from different parts of the world witnessed the huge flare above a giant sunspot the size of the Earth, which they connected to an even bigger eruption across the surface of Sun.

The blast was aimed directly towards Earth, which then sent a “solar tsunami” racing 93 million miles across space.

Experts exolained that the wave of supercharged gas will be expected to  reach the Earth on Tuesday, when it will buffet the natural magnetic shield protecting Earth.

It is possible to spark spectacular displays of the aurora or northern and southern lights.

Scientists have sent out cautions  that a really big solar eruption could damage satellites and destroy power and communications grids around the globe if it happened today.
