Norma Lopez's body found

Authorities made a confirmation that the body discovered on Tuesday is the missing Southern California teen, Norma Lopez.
A man driving his tractor on Tuesday, in an isolated field found a body near a desert road a few miles where investigators made a search operation for Norma Lopez, 17, who went missing last week.
It was devastating that authorities has confirmed the remains was identified by using dental records was the missing Moreno Valley, California teenager.
Earlier reports, Lopez vanished on July 15, as she walked home from a summer school class at Valley View High School. She was supposed to meet her sister and a friend, but did not showed up.
Meanwhile, Norma’s boyfriend was interviewed but he is not a suspect in the case.
According to Riverside County Sheriff Sgt. Joseph Barja, “We do have a few leads that we’re still following up… but I wouldn’t say that we’re any closer.” He added that the law enforcement does not know whether Norma was abducted by a stranger or someone she knew.
“We haven’t caught the suspect who killed Norma so obviously there is at least a murderer out there, and so I would be vigilant, I would be aware," said Barja. "If I were a parent I would keep track of my children. I would do everything to ensure their safety.”
Earlier, before the discovery of Norma’s body, police announced a $35,000 reward for information regarding the case.
