Mormon church to build new temples
Thomas S. Monson president of Utah Mormon church has announced that they will build three new temples in North America
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will build temples in Meridian, Idaho; Fort Collins, Colo.; and Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
The new temples "will certainly be a blessing to our members in those areas," said Monson, speaking to members on the first day of the faith’s semiannual general conference.
As of now, the church has 134 operating temples worldwide, mostly in the United States.
Additional 26 temples are either planned or under construction.
