iPhone users encounter glitch as 2011 starts
A lot of iPhone customers had some explaining to do when they overslept to start the new year, because of a malfunction to a glitch in the gadget’s alarm clock feature.
Users who set their iPhone alarm for a single wake-up rather than recurring use discovered the alarm didn’t go off with the year’s arrival, Apple spokeswoman Natalie Harrison said Sunday.
She added that a fix is in the works, and that all iPhone alarms will be working properly beginning on Monday, she said.
The problem affects iPhones using Apple’s latest iOS 4.0 operating system.
