Google and YouTube, chinese version?

People at Google are not happy with China, making imitations of Google and YouTube. Google already warned China about leaving them over disagreement in terms of Web censorship and cyberattacks. YouTubecn.com and Goojje, the name of the new websites were up and running in mid-january just after Google’s warning to leave. Even Xiao Qiang, director of the Berkley China Internet Project at the University of California-Berkley do not agree with China’s move. China’s National Copyright Administration has been tracking down on Web sites running illegally but no action was made with regard to these Web sites.

Jessica Powell of Google clarified that they are not affiliated with China. Its no secret that imitation has turned into a livelihood in China. They are even famous for fake products, but this is the first time such important sites have been copied. The real YouTube was blocked in China since 2008, after videos related to Tibetan unrest were posted there.
Copycat companies are nothing new in China, Baidu say for example, the whole idea is basically just like Google. So if another copycat company will appear, most likely, it would be similar with Facebook. Facebook is also blocked in China.
