Body of Andrew Koenig, finally found

After days of search for Andrew Koenig, son of former "Star Trek" star Walter Koenig, Canadian police finally found a body and they believe the body is missing actor Andrew Koenig.  Koenig disappeared earlier of this month, and caused alarm to his family and friends when he went missing on February 14.
In a news confernce, his father said "Our son took his own life."  The actor starred in a TV sitcom "Growing Pains" in the 1980s, and his co-actor Kirk Cameron even helped in searching for Koenig.

Vancouver Police found a body in Stanley Park around noon today February 25.  The police identified the body to be Andrew Koenig.  Andrew Koenig was active in social causes and in 2008, he was arrested for protesting U.S. participation in the Beijing Olympics.  There were talks that Koenig is under depression and before the reports of him missing, he has been visiting friends returning things.

His disappearance caused his celebrity friends Alyssa Milano, Kirk Cameron and comedian Sara Silverman to post comments online or put out statements seeking information on his whereabouts.

“I can remember many of the fun times we had on the set of Growing Pains.  I am praying for his family during this time of distress and for his safe return. Andrew, if you’re reading this, please call me. Mike and Boner could always work things out when they put their minds to it. I’m praying for you, pal. Hope to hear from you soon.”
