On Monday,  Seoul’s foreign ministry annpunced that a South Korean mountaineer has gone missing after climbing the world’s highest mountain.

The missing South Korean was identified as Song Won-Bin, 44.  Song went missing on Saturday while returning to base camp with several other climbers after scaling Mount Everest in the Himalayas, a ministry spokeswoman told AFP.

She added that a search operation  would start  soon, however, she  did not elaborate  any further.

Yonhap news agency said Song had collapsed due to altitude sickness and fallen off a cliff. It quoted a diplomat in the South Korean embassy in Kathmandu.

Controversial singer Lady Gaga started her concert in the Philippines Monday night sporting  a conservative Filipiniana-like dress in the middle of protest by conservative Christians in the country.

Famous  for her bizarre costumes, the American singer and songwriter arrived on stage riding a black stallion.

The crowd then went she sang out her hit song "Born This Way."

The concert  is a 2-night performance that catching the ire of conservative Christians in the Catholic-majority nation.

Lady Gaga is set to perorm at the Arena, a new, oblong theater built in Pasay by the country’s richest man, Henry Sy of the SM shopping mall chain.

Actress Sharon Cuneta reacted on the issue about KC Concepcion being  the real mother of Cuneta’s youngest daughter Miel and adopted son Miguel.

"Ang daming tsismis! I’m sure narinig ni’yo na si Miel ay hindi ko daw anak, kung hindi anak ni KC na pinagtatakpan ko. So naglagay ako ng unan noon at nagpanggap ako na ako ay buntis. ‘Yun pala si KC, nasa Paris siya noon, ay nagdadalantao at tapos pag-uwi ng bata kunwari inako ko ako ang ina," Cuneta said in her talk show on Tuesday afternoon.

"Mayroon naman ngayon si Miguel daw ay anak naman ni KC, ang aking inampon na 2 years old. Nagtataka naman ako? Kailan ba lumaki ang anak ng tiyan ko," she added.

Cuneta also revealed her insights on the issue as she remebered  the pain inflicted by her bashers on microblogging site Twitter.

"Over 34 years you can not break me, haters. You can not break my spirit. You can not take away my happiness. And if you think that by bashing me on Twitter or in any other venue ay mawawalan na ako ng gana ay iniyak ko na ‘yan. Dahil ang importante sa akin ay ang nagbibigay sa akin ng importansiya at pagmamahal. Do not stop me from inspiring my followers," Cuneta said.’

Meanwhile, Sharon added she’s also saddened with the issue that her eldest daughter is an "abortionist."

"Kasi ang pinalalabas si KC daw ay ‘yun (abortionist) na parang tinolerate ko daw,"

Reportedly four teenagers were killed due to  a car accident inside Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City early Saturday.

The victims’ identities were: Bruce Garcia, 14; Thomas Eric Nguyen, 16; Joshua Syyap, 15; and Timothy Syyap, 18.

Primary  investigations appear  that the four teens were inside the black Hyundai Elantra when it crashed into an electric post along Guijo St. at around 4 a.m.

Because of the strong  impact of the crash, the passengers were thrown off the car.

Three of the victims were declared dead on arrival at  Asian Hospital and Medical Center.

The other victim passed away at the hospital.

Meanwhile, investigations are still going on.

Trying to be a Jack of all Trades,  Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao accepts an offer after  being tapped to appear in his first Hollywood movie, “Brass Knuckles,” with Fil-Am comedian Rob Schneider.

According to movie producer Damian Perkins, the shoot will start after Pacquiao’s fight with Timothy Bradley, hoping that the movie will be shown by the end of the year.

In the film, it  also stars Academy Award winner Benecio del Toro and Mexican-born actor Jacob Vargas.

With the movie industry, Pacquiao is no stranger  since he already appeared in local films like Lisensyadong Kamao (Licensed Fist), Anak ng Kumander (Son of Commander) and Wapakman.

An announcement came from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)  that 4 passed the Technical Evaluation for the Upgrading as Professional Electrical Engineers given by the Board of Electrical Engineering in Manila this May 2012.

Actress Claudine Barretto decided to make amends with the  2 airline ground crew members who supposedly got verbal abuse from the actress during a fight  about their luggages.

It has been two weeks since the incident, Barretto went to see  the family of Cebu Pacific ground crew members Charisse Bocboc and Kristine Ilagan to offer her apologies  for raising her voice over her offloaded luggage.

Barretto said she scolded  the 2 employees and said she is "thankful" that they have accepted her apology.

"I humbled myself, nag-apologize naman ako sa pagtaas ng boses ko sa kanila, habang nagko-complain ako sa Cebu Pacific," she said. "Tinanggap naman nila ‘yung apology ko, so talagang thankful ako pati sa pamilya nila dahil sobra silang warm na tinanggap ako."

Bocboc and Ilagan confirmed Barretto’s statement, but reportedly denied having been cursed at or endured personal attacks from the actress.

So what’s the real deal between these two?

Actor Gerald Anderson has cleared the real status of his relationship with rumored girlfriend Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo.

Anderson, who admits his admiration for Geronimo, said that while he "cherishes" his moments with Sarah, they are not yet a couple.

Meanwhile, despite his admittance, he said that he will not prevent Sarah from dating other men.  What is important for both of them is that they enjoy each other’s company.

Gerald says that Sarah  has plenty of goals that she still wants to achieve and that he will be there for her to support her. He also revealed that he is very close with the pop princess’ family.
 

Filipino boxing champ  Manny Pacquiao cleared the reports about him  condemning homosexuals when he commented against same-sex marriage.

Pacquiao, who recently turned into  a Bible preacher, answered that he was just voicing out his opinion against homosexual union.

Pacquiao pointed  that he is not against homosexuals, saying  that he also has gay relatives.

The boxer further explained that he is just against with the acts which, he said, violate the Holy Scripture.

After submitting its plea to the Court of Appeals, CA has  turned down the plea of television network ABC Development Corp. (TV5) for a temporary restraining order (TRO) and/or writ of preliminary injunction on the 20-day suspension order of the Movie Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) on the network’s program, "T3."

On Wednesday, the CA First Division had  a hearing on TV5′s TRO application on Wednesday.

The case started from on-air threats made  by program hosts Ben, Raffy and Erwin Tulfo against celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto after the controvedrsial physical altercation between the couple’s group and the Tulfos’ eldest brother, Mon.

Part of TV5′s plea to the 3-member Division, chaired by CA Presiding Justice Andres Reyes, Jr. that the review board cannot restrain  the network’s constitutional right to freedom of speech.

In addition to that, TV5 pointed out  that the nature of the MTRCB order was "preventive" and that there was "nothing to prevent" because the program hosts were already suspended by TV5.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG), representing MTRCB, answered that TV5 cannot raise a constitutional right because its permit to operate is by virtue of a congressional franchise. Making their  operation a privilege, not a right, the OSG stressed.

The OSG explained  that under said franchise, TV5 has duties to the viewing public, and should not let its airtime to be utilized for obscene utterances.
