An announcement came from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)  that 4 passed the Technical Evaluation for the Upgrading as Professional Electrical Engineers given by the Board of Electrical Engineering in Manila this May 2012.

Actress Claudine Barretto decided to make amends with the  2 airline ground crew members who supposedly got verbal abuse from the actress during a fight  about their luggages.

It has been two weeks since the incident, Barretto went to see  the family of Cebu Pacific ground crew members Charisse Bocboc and Kristine Ilagan to offer her apologies  for raising her voice over her offloaded luggage.

Barretto said she scolded  the 2 employees and said she is "thankful" that they have accepted her apology.

"I humbled myself, nag-apologize naman ako sa pagtaas ng boses ko sa kanila, habang nagko-complain ako sa Cebu Pacific," she said. "Tinanggap naman nila ‘yung apology ko, so talagang thankful ako pati sa pamilya nila dahil sobra silang warm na tinanggap ako."

Bocboc and Ilagan confirmed Barretto’s statement, but reportedly denied having been cursed at or endured personal attacks from the actress.

So what’s the real deal between these two?

Actor Gerald Anderson has cleared the real status of his relationship with rumored girlfriend Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo.

Anderson, who admits his admiration for Geronimo, said that while he "cherishes" his moments with Sarah, they are not yet a couple.

Meanwhile, despite his admittance, he said that he will not prevent Sarah from dating other men.  What is important for both of them is that they enjoy each other’s company.

Gerald says that Sarah  has plenty of goals that she still wants to achieve and that he will be there for her to support her. He also revealed that he is very close with the pop princess’ family.
 

Filipino boxing champ  Manny Pacquiao cleared the reports about him  condemning homosexuals when he commented against same-sex marriage.

Pacquiao, who recently turned into  a Bible preacher, answered that he was just voicing out his opinion against homosexual union.

Pacquiao pointed  that he is not against homosexuals, saying  that he also has gay relatives.

The boxer further explained that he is just against with the acts which, he said, violate the Holy Scripture.

After submitting its plea to the Court of Appeals, CA has  turned down the plea of television network ABC Development Corp. (TV5) for a temporary restraining order (TRO) and/or writ of preliminary injunction on the 20-day suspension order of the Movie Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) on the network’s program, "T3."

On Wednesday, the CA First Division had  a hearing on TV5′s TRO application on Wednesday.

The case started from on-air threats made  by program hosts Ben, Raffy and Erwin Tulfo against celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto after the controvedrsial physical altercation between the couple’s group and the Tulfos’ eldest brother, Mon.

Part of TV5′s plea to the 3-member Division, chaired by CA Presiding Justice Andres Reyes, Jr. that the review board cannot restrain  the network’s constitutional right to freedom of speech.

In addition to that, TV5 pointed out  that the nature of the MTRCB order was "preventive" and that there was "nothing to prevent" because the program hosts were already suspended by TV5.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG), representing MTRCB, answered that TV5 cannot raise a constitutional right because its permit to operate is by virtue of a congressional franchise. Making their  operation a privilege, not a right, the OSG stressed.

The OSG explained  that under said franchise, TV5 has duties to the viewing public, and should not let its airtime to be utilized for obscene utterances.

When it comes to gay marriage, Malacanang has its own view  not following US President Barack Obama’s path.

 Edwin Lacierda, Presidential spokesman said that the United States has a different milieu compared to the Philippines, noting that same-sex marriage is an election issue in the United States.

He added that the meaning of marriage in the Family Code is clear: that it is the union of a man and a woman.

On Wednesday, President Obama declared that  he believes same-sex couples should be permitted to marry, a position  that is expected to please his political stature and complicate efforts to attract some independent voters.

"It is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married," Obama said in an interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts.
 

US president Barack Obama though praised, was also slammed a day after he became the first sitting US president to reveal his support on gay marriage.

His remarks made the social conservatives and religious leaders condemn him.

On the other hand, the Obama campaign attacked Republican Mitt Romney, who repeatedly stated his opposition to same-sex marriage, as out of touch on the issue.

Mr Obama went to the West Coast on Thursday for fundraisers in Seattle and Los Angeles which is expected to raise millions.

Reportedly, a fight took place at NAIA3, Sunday involving public figures Raymart Santiago, Claudine Barretto, and Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist Ramon Tulfo.

The cause of the brawl was the  cell phone photos of an actress scolding a ground stewardess of a budget airline. At that time, Mr. Tulfo saw the incident taking pictures to backup the report that he will release.

A friend of the couple told them that somebody is taking pictures of them scolding the ground attendant. Actor Raymart Santiago told him to stop and allegedly asked for the photos to be erased. When Tulfo refused to do so that’s when the fight erupted.

Tulfo said he arrived at Naia 3 from Davao City on a Cebu Pacific flight when he noticed a woman reprimanding a stewardess.

“The ground stewardess was on the verge of tears,” Tulfo told the Inquirer over the phone, recalling what caught his attention before the beating he received.

He said that at first  he  sympathized with the woman after finding out  from onlookers that her complaint  was  “an off-loaded luggage,” which had been a subject of critical columns he wrote before.

This another controversial incident made the netizens express their views and opinions to different social network sites.Some slammed the celebrity couple for ganging up Tulfo that it should have been settled with decency. Some were considerate with Raymart and Claudine, saying that they are also human beings and it’s only natural for them to be enraged since they were not informed that their luggages were placed to a different plane, lastly, they also blame the airlines for the errors which have been a long-time problem ever since.

As of now, Raymart and Claudine are asking the airlines to review the CCTV to find out who started the fight. Tulfo on the other hand said that he is pursuing in filing his complaint  against the couple.

Reportedly a huge plantation of     Marijuana was discovered by the officials of the Philippine Drug and Enforcement Agency (PDEA). The agency  raided the mountainous region of Cordillera in Northern Luzon.

According to the authorities,  the plantation was located in the remote Bakun and Kibugan mountains in Benguet, which made it harder for them to reach the area.

It took  4 days before the marijuana plants, with an estimated worth of P260 million, were all uprooted.
