Jodi Sta. Maria remained by Jolo Revilla’s side in the hospital
Showbiz columnist and TV host Lolit Solis said that actress Jodi Sta. Maria stayed at Jolo Revilla’s bedside until the Cavite vice-governor regained consciousness after sustaining a gunshot wound to the chest.
Solis who also happens to be talent manager of Jolo’s parents Sen. Bong Revilla and Lani Mercado, thanked Sta. Maria in a radio interview on Monday "dahil hindi siya umalis sa ospital hangga’t hindi niya nakikitang gising si Jolo."
Jolo is still confined at the intensive care unit of the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntinlupa since Saturday following the supposed gunshot incident while cleaning his government-issued gun, a .40 Glock pistol, at the house of his father in Ayala Alabang.
Sta. Maria confirmed their relationship in late 2012.
Meanwhile, Atty. Raymond Fortun, spokesperson of the Revilla family, said on Sunday that he was able to speak with Jolo before he underwent a two-hour operation to clean his wounds.
"He was a little bit sorry. Tinanong ko kasi siya, ‘Jolo, kumusta ka na?’ Sabi niya, ‘Heto, attorney, nagkamali ako,’" shared Fortun. "I would think he was referring to the fact that he was cleaning his gun at that time and somehow nakalabit niya ‘yung trigger."
