Jason Dy winner of The Voice Philippines
Artist Jason Dy of Team Sarah won the title of the second season of "The Voice of the Philippines" on Sunday the grand finale at Resorts World Manila.
Dubbed as the professional "haranista," Dy got 52.94% of the votes beating Alisah Bonaobra of Teap Apl when the two artists performed their final showdown.Dy got the highest percentage of text and online votes.
Earlier, the poll for Dy and Bonaobras opened which reset their scores to zero.
Team Bamboo’s Rence Rapanot and Team Lea’s Leah Patricio were part of the top 4 before it was cut down in two.
Patricio got 19.17% while Rapanot got 18.02% of the votes before scores were reset for Bonaobra and Dy.
Dy, 23, was very emotional when his name was announced as the winner. His coach Sarah Geronimo rushed onstage to hug and congratulate him.
His prizes were: a P2 million in cash, a house and lot, a new car, a music instrument package, a business package, an Asian tour package for two and a recording and managing contract with MCA Music.
