James Yap hopes for a miracle to keep marriage

Basketball star James Yap hopes that a miracle will keep his marriage to Kris Aquino.
In his interview with journalist Ricky Lo, the star player said he sent flowers and text messages to Kris before the latter and their kids, Joshua and Baby James Yap Jr., left the country.
“Sana may miracle na maganap,” he said.
Yap maintains his stand that he will still try to save his marriage with Kris.
"As I said, I will fight to save our marriage. Gagawin ko ang lahat para ma-save ang marriage namin at mabuo uli ang family namin. I won’t give up until I have done my best and I have done everything that I possibly could," he added.
Yap said that he’s just hoping that Kris would have her time to rest and reconsider her decision.
“It’s the first time for Kris to take a long vacation, away from the intrigues. She was under so much stress because of the campaign. Now that she’s stress-free, I hope that she will have time to think, sana mapagtimbang-timbang n’ya ang pangyayari at maliwanagan siya at pagbalik niya ay mag-iba ang desisyon niya… That’s what I’m hoping and praying for. Sana may milagrong mangyari.”
Yap contradicted the rumors that he is a womanizer. He also dismissed reports involving his wife to several men like Senator Francis Escudero, Makati Mayor JunJun Binay and young stars Gerald Anderson and Coco Martin. “Hindi ganyan ang asawa ko,” he said.
Yap did not want to be interviewed after Kris said she is decided not to reunite with her hubby.
Aquino in fact said she already consulted her lawyers to prepare the legal actions to halt her marriage with the the star cager.
In a statement submitted by Marcos Ochoa Serapio and Tan (the law firm retained by Kris Aquino) to Boy Abunda, it will take the "necessary steps at the soonest possible time."
"Ms. Kris Aquino has recently announced that she has decided to end her marriage to Mr. James Yap and asked us to initiate the appropriate proceedings for the purpose she believes that it is for the best interest of all that’s concerned, especially her children," the law firm said.
The law firm also appealed to the public to "respect the privacy of the parties and let the legal process take its course."
On Monday, ABS-CBN News attempted to interview Yap after his training at Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay but he refused.
Yap was able to avoid the news team by exiting through the backdoor of the stadium.
