'American Idol' Shuffles Schedule Due To Crystal Bowersox's 'Medical Issues'

For one week only, the Idol Men will sing on Tuesday (March 2) and the Idol Women will go on Wednesday (March 2).

FOX reps announced  that the Top 10 male semifinalists will now perform tonight instead of the women, a change related to dreadlocked singer, and a judges’ favorite, Crystal Bowersox.  Bowersox who is a current top 20 contestant on Fox’s hit talent show, “American Idol, ”has been rushed to the hospital due to complications with her diabetes.

She’s currently recovering from it.  A source said Crystal is doing ok and should be fine for tomorrow.

Next week, the competition is expected to return to its usual format of the woman performing on Tuesday and the men on Wednesday. Again, this Thursday night, two guys and two girls will be cut from the “American Idol” lineup again, dwindling it down to just 16 performers.

Last week, Janelle Wheeler, Ashley Rodriguez, Joe Munoz, and Tyler Grady were voted off this past Thursday.

 The station also announced that on Thursday, Danny Gokey, third runner-up from Season 8, will perform his new single, “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me.”
