Reportedly four teenagers were killed due to  a car accident inside Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City early Saturday.

The victims’ identities were: Bruce Garcia, 14; Thomas Eric Nguyen, 16; Joshua Syyap, 15; and Timothy Syyap, 18.

Primary  investigations appear  that the four teens were inside the black Hyundai Elantra when it crashed into an electric post along Guijo St. at around 4 a.m.

Because of the strong  impact of the crash, the passengers were thrown off the car.

Three of the victims were declared dead on arrival at  Asian Hospital and Medical Center.

The other victim passed away at the hospital.

Meanwhile, investigations are still going on.

After submitting its plea to the Court of Appeals, CA has  turned down the plea of television network ABC Development Corp. (TV5) for a temporary restraining order (TRO) and/or writ of preliminary injunction on the 20-day suspension order of the Movie Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) on the network’s program, "T3."

On Wednesday, the CA First Division had  a hearing on TV5′s TRO application on Wednesday.

The case started from on-air threats made  by program hosts Ben, Raffy and Erwin Tulfo against celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto after the controvedrsial physical altercation between the couple’s group and the Tulfos’ eldest brother, Mon.

Part of TV5′s plea to the 3-member Division, chaired by CA Presiding Justice Andres Reyes, Jr. that the review board cannot restrain  the network’s constitutional right to freedom of speech.

In addition to that, TV5 pointed out  that the nature of the MTRCB order was "preventive" and that there was "nothing to prevent" because the program hosts were already suspended by TV5.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG), representing MTRCB, answered that TV5 cannot raise a constitutional right because its permit to operate is by virtue of a congressional franchise. Making their  operation a privilege, not a right, the OSG stressed.

The OSG explained  that under said franchise, TV5 has duties to the viewing public, and should not let its airtime to be utilized for obscene utterances.

Meralco announced that there will be power interruptions schedule in different areas of Manila, Laguna and Cavite Provinces Wednesday because of repair and maintenance works, the Manila Electric Co. said.

Posting on its Twitter account, Meralco said some of the power interruptions happened already in the morning, however  another round of interruptions may take place in the afternoon.

In Manila, Meralco scheduled a power interruption between 8:00 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., then between 3:00 and 3:45 p.m. due to the "transfer of facilities" to a newly installed pole along C. Palanca St. in Quiapo, Manila.

Mewanwhile, in Cavite, a power interruption was scheduled due to urgent National Grid Corp. of the Philippines repair works inside NGCP – Rosario substation.

The schedule is between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., and then between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. in some parts of Manila–Cavite Road from San Juan – San Rafael Road which would also inclcue the whole of Cavite City; Bgys. San Juan and San Rafael in Noveleta.
 

Allocating a courtesy lane along Roxas Boulevard, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority ensure traffic-free for delegates aspart of their preparations to the Asian Development Bank’s upcoming 45th annual meeting in Pasay City.

MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino added that ther will be several areas that  will be declared off-limits during the meeting from May 2 to 5.

Those  lanes will take the delegates straight from their hotels to the PICC, he said.

"Dire-diretso sila galing sa hotel, diretso sila sa PICC (They can go straight from their hotels to the PICC)," he said.

In the coming days, he will be disclosing the areas tha will be off-limits to the motorists.

From May 2 to 5, around 4,000 ministers and senior government officials, business leaders, fellow international financial institutions, and civil society representatives will be attending the ADB’s 45th Annual Meeting.
 

Boxing Promoter Bob Arum revealed that Floyd Mayweather Jr. knows Manny Pacquiao is a hard fighter to figure out which is the reason why he is having second thoughts to fight the eight-division champion.\

“Mayweather is a great fighter, there’s no question about that. Manny Pacquiao is a guy that would be very difficult for Floyd to figure out because he’s so quick,” the Top Rank Inc. CEO said in an interview with Rope-a-Dope Radio.

Arum said Mayweather always had trouble fighting southpaws.

What more if he faces  Pacquiao, added Arum.
 

A Filipina household service worker  was reportedly rescued by the Philippine Rapid Response Team (RRT). Allegedly, the woman had a nervous breakdown in strife-torn Syria.

Ambassador Ricardo Endaya said the RRT went to a house in Al-Mashta Al Helou in Syria to rescue a 31-year old Pinay worker.

“Malaki raw ang problema nito sa pamilya, lagi niyang iniisip mga anak niya at asawa niya at siguro na rin yung mga narasanasan niyang mga putukan at mga kaguluhan sa paligid niya sa may Al Mashta,” said Endaya.

The Pinay is already  married with one child. The native of Cagayan Valley has worked  in Syria for three years.

 The family of the worker were already informed about her condition.
 
 Meanwhile, Endaya said that they are gong around Syria to rescue more Filipinos

A man was reportedly pawed by a lioness at a wildlife park in Darwin on Friday and was quickly brought  to hospital with arm injuries, officials at the facility said.
 
Peter Davidson sustained a  torn muscle  from the bone of his arm after apparently putting it through the cage bars.

Charlie Manolis, chief scientist at Crocodylus Park, told the Northern Territory News taht a girl went to him about the incident.
 
Manolis said the man is a worker of  the park and was getting rid of weeds near the lion enclosure when Shebe, 9, attacked.

Meanwhile, Crocodylus Park has more than 1,000 crocodiles in its collection, at the same time as other wildlife including big cats, primates, and birds.

Reportedly, a  student from  Batong Malake National High School was believed  to have been raped and killed. The 14-YEAR-OLD high-school student was found dead on Wednesday morning in a banana plantation in barangay Batong Malake, Los Baños, Laguna.  Unfortunately  the  assailants remain to be  unidentified.

Supt. Dante Novicio, Los Baños police chief, said the victim’s body, that had signs of rape, was discovered  by residents at around 9:30 a.m.

Novicio said the family of the victim, whom he did not name, was already informed.

The police chief said the 14-year-old victim was not wearing an underwear with her jogging pants wrapped around her neck, showing  that she was strangled to death.

Meanwhile, the body of the victim was already undergoing autopsy.

This is what Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on Thursday said  after  the Ombudsman threw out a plunder case against her over the sale of the Iloilo airport.
 
"I am deeply gratified and appreciative of the recommendation of the Department of Justice prosecutors and the action of the Ombudsman approving their recommendation to dismiss the plunder case filed by one [Danilo] Lihaylihay," she said in a statement.

"What is lamentable is that this case has been utilized by the DOJ in issuing several watchlist orders against me," she added.

Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales, in a 19-page resolution, said the case filed by "tax whistleblower" Danilo Lihaylihay against Mrs. Arroyo and 5 others has no merit.

For a plunder case to succeed, three elements are needed, first,  if the offender is a public official; the offender amassed ill-gotten wealth through a series of criminal acts, and the total value of the ill-gotten wealth is at least P50 million.

The Ombudsman said the law does not backup  Lihaylihay’s accusations  that the acquisition of ill-gotten wealth was accomplished  through a conspiracy between Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo , Albert G. Romulo, Eduardo R. Ermita, Margarito B. Teves, John Philip P. Sevilla and Andrew L. Tan .

Reportedly,  the head  of the Lambda Rho Beta fraternity is slated  to meet with  Justice Secretary Leila de Lima to assist in the investigation on the death of a supposed hazing victim from the San Beda College.
 
The Department of Justice, in an advisory to the media Thursday morning, said the fraternity leader,  also known  as the Grand Rhoan, will be "turned over" to the National Bureau of Investigation for questioning shortly before noon.
 
"The Grand Rhoan of the Lambda Rho Beta Fraternity will be presented to the Secretary for turnover to NBI for questioning at the bureau," the DOJ said.
 
Meanwhile Lambda Rho Beta fraternity is the counterpart of San Beda Law’s Lambda Rho Sigma sorority that De Lima co-founded.

Earlier, the  fraternity hit  headlines when San Beda law freshman Marvin Reglos died Sunday allegedly  after undergoing the  initiation rights by the fraternity at a resort in Antipolo, Rizal.
