Sought after television host and comedian Vice Ganda said that he will hasve  his own talk show in ABS-CBN. The tile of his upcoming show is “Gandang Gabi, Vice!”.

During  an interview with ABS-CBN News, Vice Ganda said he believes hat this is his biggest break in show business.

He added that  he has been thinking about a show that would reveal  his knowledge as a host.

 The TV host just  laughed upon hearing  comments that the title of his newest show was probably inspired and lifted from former Vice-President Noli De Castro’s program “Magandang Gabi Bayan.”

"Kasi dream ko ding makaharap siya at ma-interview, yung parang ‘Kabayan meets Kabayo’ ha ha ha ha," he said in jest.

The comedian assured he will add a new flavor to his show.

The most talked about game show in town  “Willing Willie” might  be back on your tv screen  on May 14 after a month-long suspension given to  the show by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

Manuel V. Pangilinan, chair of Associated Broadcasting Corp., which manages television network TV5, said to the  reporters that May 14 was a tentative date for the cimeback of the show,  despite the suspension ends by May 9.

Pangilinan said the station will be needing time to make its reformat.

“We have a new studio, new programs, new games, so let’s see,” he said.

“ASAP Rocks” on Sunday expressed its grief over a loss of young budding talent by  paying  tribute to its young host who was killed in a car accident in Tarlac.

 Gary Valenciano offered a prayer for  the 18-year-old actor-model AJ Perez at the beginning  of the show.
 
 “We pray that You bless his family and his dad in this very unfortunate time. We lift ourselves up to You, Lord, dahil medyo mabigat mag-show na ganito because ito po ang unang beses na nakaranas kami ng isang tao na talagang connected po sa amin dito sa ‘ASAP’ na wala na po. We pray for everyone mourning at this time, for this very tragic loss,” a teary-eyed Valenciano said.

“AJ may no longer be with us physically, but because he left good memories that we will treasure in our hearts, he will live on… AJ, we dedicate this show to you, it’s yours. Embrace him, Lord, and give him the best seat to watch what we offer him today. In Jesus name, amen.”

All donned in white, other hosts of the show can be seen weeping, stood behind him as Gary sang, “Home.”

“AJ, you’ve gone home. We miss you,” Valenciano said after the song.

The lawyer of  Willie Revillame has insisted  that a well-orchestrated demolition job is pulling the strings over the controversial performance of six-year-old boy.

During  a media gathering on Wednesday at the Manila Golf Club in Makati City, Revillame’s lawyer Leonard de Vera said there was “a demolition job” on his client. He urged supporters to “draw your own conclusions” on whether Revillame’s former home network, ABS-CBN, was behind it.

Said De Vera: “All I can give you are facts. This strange, curious, intriguing convergence of situations are facts. It’s so easy for [ABS-CBN] to say this just happened. It would tell you that it’s unfair for us to say it is behind all these. You draw your own conclusions. These things wouldn’t have happened unless it was designed by someone to happen.”

 The main man of "Willing Willie" was steaming mad after learning the reactions of celebrities via popular micro-blogging site Twitter.

Revillame slammed Jim Paredes, Agot Isidro, Mylene Dizon, Bianca Gonzalez, Tuesday Vargas, and international star Lea Salonga for their opinions over  the controversial issue that has prompted the show’s major advertisers to withdraw, has turned out to be  the subject of a regulatory inquiry, and also resulted in Revillame’s 2-week leave from the show.

In  the unveiling  of his new endorsement, "Jollibee Float," on Thursday, Dee admitted that he is dating a girl from show business for a few months now.

"Nagpo-float ang love life ko. Pero kung tatanungin ninyo ako kung sino, hindi ko sasabihin. Sa showbiz siya," Dee said. "Siyempre para mas tahimik, mas ma-protektahan ang private life namin. Kami-kami na lang."

Dee gave a clue  by mentioning that he has never worked with her before.

It is not Kim Chiu as the actor denied rumors that he is courting the young actress.

"Malapit po kaming magkaibigan ni Kim at lumalabas kami minsan pero with friends. Hindi po, hindi po si Kim," he said.

Dee also denied that he is wooing beauty queen-turned-actress Bianca Manalo.

Aside from his variety show "ASAP Rocks," Dee is also preparing for his latest television series, ABS-CBN’s remake of "Maria La del Barrio (MLDB)."

Earlier, "Willing Willie" main man Willie Revillame expressed his disappointment upon knowing that John Estrada accepted ABS-CBN’s  offer. While on-air Revillame can be seen talking to someone on his mobile phone who happens to be Estrada. He told the latter that he is working on a contract for him in TV5 and told him that the new show offered to him will not succeed. Click here for the video.

Actor John Estrada said in a statement on Sunday on “The Buzz” that his conscience is clear, following the issue of accepting a hosting job in ABS-CBN’s latest noontime program, “Happy, Yipee, Yehey!”

Estrada insisted that he and co-host Randy Santiago did nothing wrong when they accepted the offer to host the TV program alongside Toni Gonzaga and Mariel Rodriguez.

He said that it was nothing personal when they accepted the ABS-CBN offer.

“Wala po talaga kaming nagawang masama at alam ni Willie [Revillame] kung gaano namin siya kamahal. Kami po ay tunay niyang kaibigan. Ito po ay isang trabaho lamang. Kailangan din naming magtrabaho ni Randy,” he said.

“As long as malinis ang konsensya natin at alam natin, ng Diyos, na walang ginagawang masama, siguro naman kahit sinong gustong kumalaban sa atin ay hindi magtatagumpay dahil Diyos ang kakampi natin dito,” Estrada added.

Estrada was referring to reports that Revillame, their close friend and a former Kapamilya talent, publicly attacked him and Santiago for accepting the noontime program on ABS-CBN.

Estrada claimed that they accepted the project to make people happy through the TV program.

“So, I hope magpasaya na lang tayo ng tao. Sana pagbibigyan kami ng sambayang Filipino,” he said.

Meanwhile, Randy Santiago, for his part, said the latest issue is just a clear case of misunderstanding among friends.

“Right after nakita ko ‘yong tampo niya, we were deeply hurt also. Gusto niya siyempre magkasama-sama kaming muli, but of course dahil nga sa nangyaring ito, hindi natin inaasahan na nandito [muli tayo] sa Channel 2,” Santiago said, adding:

“Right away tinext ko kaagad siya at si brother John nag-text sa kanya na sana sa mga susunod na panahon magkasama din tayo. Pero at this point, siyempre trabaho lang ika nga at nauna lang itong ABS.”

A request by broadcast giant ABS-CBN Corp was thrown out by the Court of Appeals. The request seeks  to stop the airing of variety show “Willing Willie,” hosted by television personality Willie Revillame, now working for rival TV5.

The CA, maintaining the earlier  decision made by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court, rejected ABS-CBN’s petition for a preliminary injunction on technical grounds.

However, the court also ruled that the Lopez-led network failed to prove why and how it would suffer “irreparable injury” if their long-time talent Revillame was allowed to perform for a different station.

“A writ of certiorari (review) is a prerogative writ, never demandable as a matter of right, never issued except in the exercise of judicial discretion,” Justice Priscilla Padilla said in a 37-page decision.

She said the company’s petition was turned down  mainly because of ABS-CBN’s failure to file the requisite Motion for Reconsideration (MR) before the lower court.

“One who seeks a writ of certiorari must apply for it only in the manner and strictly in accordance with the provisions of the law and the Rules,” Padilla said.

But the court continued that even if it had been lenient, ABS-CBN’s petition would have been thrown out as well due to its lack of merit. “The result would still be the same,” the court said.

Known as the liberal, outspoken anchor of MSNBC’s Countdown show, Keith Olbermann  had his contract surprisingly terminated by the US cable new network’s parent company NBC on Friday night.

Unexpectedly, announcing that the current show would be his last, Olbermann calmly read aloud an extract by James Thurber before signing off with the words: "Good night and good luck."

While Olbermann was live on-air, NBC issued a statement reading:

MSNBC and Keith Olbermann have ended their contract. The last broadcast of Countdown with Keith Olbermann will be this evening. MSNBC thanks Keith for his integral role in MSNBC’s success and we wish him well in his future endeavors.

Bizarrely, nearly half an hour later during an ad break in the following programme, MSNBC showed a station promo featuring Olbermann. But the promo was interrupted halfway through by a mattress advertisment.

Olbermann had been suspended from hosting his daily 8pm show by the network in November last year for making donations to three Democratic candidates but was reinstated the following week.

ABS-CBN announced Thursday that afternoon show “Pilipinas Win na Win (PWNW)” will have its last episode on Dec. 31, 2010.

“The ABS-CBN management thanks the Hitmakers, Valerie Concepcion, K Brosas, and Pokwang, the PWNW production group, and most important, its viewers for their support to the program,” said Bong Osorio, ABS-CBN Head of Corporate Communication.

The Hitmakers are Rico J. Puno, Rey Valera, Nonoy Zuñiga and Marco Sison.

According to reports, “Showtime” will occupy the time slot of PWNW, Osorio said.

“With its extended time, Showtime will continue to bring more… fun, and hope to Filipinos worldwide,” he added.

PWNW has been flooded by hosts and timeslot alterations allegedly because of low ratings after replacing its top-rating predecessor, "Wowowee."
